Why We Started Deckvalley

Deckvalley was born from personal experience and professional opportunity.

Our founder, Erik Fiala, has lived this problem from both sides. After successfully raising $110K from Antler Vietnam, he’s helped startups raise over $12.5M+ across pre-seed, seed, and Series A rounds. As a 2x Head of Design with over 10 years of product design leadership, he’s built presentations that convert.

But here’s what makes Erik different: he’s also an angel investor who’s sat on the other side of the table, evaluating deals and understanding exactly what makes investors say yes or no. That dual perspective—founder and investor who’s deployed capital—is incredibly rare in the consulting world.

Living in Vietnam for four years, Erik has witnessed firsthand the incredible talent in the local startup ecosystem. He’s also seen how often that talent gets overlooked by international investors simply because of presentation quality, not business quality.
